This is a soft, anonymous space to breathe, share, and feel understood. No judgment. No pressure. Just people who get it.
Nicole Waford — Author, Creator, and the Heart Behind Kindred
I’m Nicole — an author, mom of four, and the creator of Kindred. I live in a small town here in Kentucky, where life is loud, messy, beautiful, and occasionally held together by caffeine and sheer determination. For years, I’ve worked with mothers and families, and one thing has always been painfully clear: people need connection more than anything.
Kindred was born from that truth.
Kindred started as a simple idea during a season of life when everything felt heavy — parenting, work, relationships, mental health, all of it. I kept seeing people around me struggling alone, even though we were all dealing with the same things. Moms overwhelmed. Teens anxious. Adults burnt out. Families trying to stay afloat. Professionals trying to support others without burning out themselves.
I wanted to build something that made connection easier.
Something that helped people feel seen.
Something that reminded us we’re not meant to do life alone.
Kindred is my answer to that.
Kindred is more than an app — it’s a community. A place where people can share, learn, laugh, breathe, and feel supported. It’s built on three core beliefs:
My mission with Kindred is simple: to make support accessible, relatable, and rooted in real human connection.
Whether you’re a mom trying to keep your sanity, a professional supporting others, or someone navigating life’s chaos, Kindred is here to walk with you — not above you, not ahead of you, but right beside you.
I built Kindred because I needed it too.
And if you’re here, maybe you need it a little.
I hope this space feels like a breath you didn’t know you were holding.
Welcome to Kindred.
We’re in this together.
